If your family is like ours and LOVES ice cream & petting zoos this is a place for you. They have home made ice cream good prices for the servings. After your done chillin out with your ice cream take the kiddos outside to the fairly large petting zoo. They have goats, ducks, calves, pigs, horses & more. They sell feed cones in the past they have been $.50 (thats what the price has been for the last few years). This has been our yearly Sat afternoon stop when we stay at our own little private vacation resort in Hastings which you see me talk about if you scroll down.
You could also set up a family picnic there is a sand spot w/ play toys as well.

Burchfield Park
What a Snowy Fun Time we had the park is located about 1 mile from Holt High School on Grovenburg Rd. It is a state park so it is $3.00 admission per car for residents and $5.00 for non residents. They have snow tube rental for $1.00 tube.
There was a kiddie hill & a little bit steeper hill. It was fun for kids & of course us adults too. They have a fire pit to help keep you warm & a concession stand. However the Hot Choc is SOOOOOOOOO hot so if you're buyin for a lil one especially you will want to bring a sm thing of milk to cool it down or they may have to wait a few hrs.
There is also a tobogganing hill & you can rent sleds (not sure on cost) it was closed there wasn't enough snow...mid January Michigan didn't have enough snow can't remember the last time that happened.
All in all for the price & a quick drive it made for a few hrs of fun. We will def visit again its gets a Murray Family TRIPLE F (Family Friendly & FUN)

A quick FYI this is also a great summer spot, they have canoe rental, fishing, a huge playscape, trails, & plenty of spots to have a picnic
